If roaring down the Pacific Coast Highway in a 1955 T-bird convertible doesn’t stir your heart, I don’t know what will!

It’s a memory guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Every year as a birthday gift to myself, I plan a series of 1 on1 hikes with a few of my closest friends. But this year I tried something different. I rented a vintage roadster from Monterey Touring Vehicles (MTV) and drove down HW 1 to Big Sur - long stretches of ocean and rugged mountains whizzing alongside the car.

The views are absolutely breath-taking, open sky above you and the rumble of pistons firing under the seat. You really feel the engine roar, and you can’t help but smile and know deep inside - viscerally - how alive you are. The chrome trims, vintage radio and mirrors all take you back to a bygone era. It’s what I imagine it being like if you were cast in a Cary Grant film.

I found this outing so darn exhilarating that I called up the owner at MTV, a small local business in Monterey, to see if we could strike a partnership. I wanted all my guests to experience what I felt that day!
