About us
Carmel-by-the-Sea is a place of revitalization. There’s something about the fresh ocean air, sparkling sun, mild climate, stunning beaches, walkable neighborhoods, respect for creative expression, and care for nature that restores and inspires those who spend time here, including me.
While working in the tech industry, I’ve pursued my passion of fixing up old homes. When these cottages came on the market for the first time since 1923, I beelined to look at them.
When I took in the location, the lot size, their architectural charm, and the garden, I made an offer on the spot. Sometimes you just know.
Restoring the Carmel Retreats cottages to their original character has been a labor of love. I’m proud of preserving their history, and delighted to have incorporated modern comforts for guests like you.
