Dear Friends of the Carmel Retreats Cottages,

Recently, a number of guests have approached me to say, "Gosh, I don't remember seeing this the last time I was here… is it new?" They noticed something at the cottage that wasn’t here before and I never mentioned it in my newsletters. You see, I'm always tweaking and tinkering, and adding little touches and upgrades to the cottages throughout the year. I’m never quite sure when I added them and then I lose track! So, I thought I would devote this newsletter to all the little upgrades I've added over the past year. Some of you have already experienced a few. Others none at all. I hope you enjoy!

Expanded back deck - I've added new lattice work surrounding the back deck of the main house for a cozier, more intimate feel, and added some beautiful bougainvillea vines that are attracting lots of new hummingbirds to the property

Water fountains throughout the property - there's always been a fountain by the entry of the main house, but now I added one to the back deck of the main house, too, as well as another one near the entryway of the guest cottage, and one by the street when you enter the Dream Gate. You can now hear calming sounds of water from all corners of the property

There's now a swing bench under the arbor in the front yard - an idyllic setting for your morning coffee or evening cocktail.

Private Carmel Film festival - a curated collection of films shot in and around Carmel to watch compliments of Carmel Retreats whenever you want on the TV in your cottage

New streaming programs - I added thousands of streaming yoga, meditation, and healing programs to watch compliments of Carmel Retreats on your TV through the Gaia app

Upgraded Gigabit Internet - Our wifi is now blazing fast for streaming media and zoom calls. Speeds reach 1,000Mbps hardwired and 3-500Mbps via wifi

Thousands of MasterClasses - I've added streaming Master Classes featuring business legends, celebrity chefs, famous authors, and more via the MasterClass app. It's provided compliments of Carmel Retreats to watch anytime on your TV

Millions of streaming songs of every genre - We offer over 90 million songs available to listen to via our new Alexa enabled sound bars mounted above your TV (coming soon in the main house; up and running in the guest house)

New sheets - Brand new high thread count luxury cotton sheets on all beds

New towels - Brand new fluffy white Egyptian cotton towels

New black out shades on all the windows for the best sleep of our life

New fridge - Brand new super quiet fridge in the guest cottage (Yay!)
